What Is Not Covered
Normal Wear & Tear
Brick ovens naturally develop cosmetic changes over time, which are not considered defects, including:
-
Carbon/soot build-up inside the chamber or around the flue
-
Scratches or marks on the cooking floor from trays and tools
-
Minor paint discoloration or flaking on doors or chimneys caused by heat
-
Slight tile discoloration from food spills
-
Color change or surface rust on metal components due to heat exposure
-
Minor external cracking where the render meets the arch
-
Internal chamber cracks from thermal expansion
These occurrences do not impact performance or safety.
Cracking
All brick ovens expand and contract with heat.
Hairline internal or external cracks are normal and do not indicate faulty workmanship.
If exterior cracking becomes a concern, we can supply a repair kit upon request.
Moisture-Related Issues
Although our ovens are weather-resistant, customers must prevent:
-
Exposure to irrigation systems or constant water sources
-
Long-term saturation or standing water
-
Repeated freeze–thaw cycles
Excess moisture can cause:
-
Slower heating
-
Increased smoke
-
Material degradation
Damage caused by water intrusion or failure to protect the oven is not covered.
A protective cover is strongly recommended when the oven is outdoors without overhead shelter.
Misuse
Warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
-
Overheating the oven above 450°C (842°F)
-
Burning inappropriate fuels or liquids
-
Impact damage (dropping, collisions, improper transport)
-
Operating the oven while saturated with water
-
Using the oven for anything other than cooking food
Any use outside intended purpose voids the warranty.

Each claim is reviewed individually.
